I welcome the opportunity to work in a consultancy/advisory/facilitating capacity with Schools, Organisations and Community Groups around issues affecting young people, single parents and abuse survivors.
Personal 'challenges' I experienced as a child, adolescent and adult are being experienced by far too many today; their issues are hauntingly and disturbingly similar, forty plus years on. I truly believe that lived experience gives a different perspective and a deeper understanding of particular issues and the impact it has on an individual, a family, a community and society as a whole.
Just send me an email and let us see how together, we can break the cycle and make a real and lasting difference.
My mentoring work includes but is not limited to:
Mentoring female abuse survivors who are not in 'active crisis'
Mentoring parents facing relationship challenges with their children/partners
Mentoring young people to prepare for and thrive in today's reality - Peers/Healthy relationships/School
Mentoring children/young people facing behaviour challenges, one-to-one and in small groups
Mentoring individuals/families to cook healthy meals on a budget including takeaway 'copies'
I have been lucky enough to have had the support from the *organisations and venues listed below, to put on/to provide the following local community events/workshops and peer support groups, around issues which directly affect women, young people and single parents.
Pushing Back - A community response to challenging sexual exploitation & violence towards Women & Girls *(Croydon Voluntary Action, Croydon Family Power, NSPCC, RASACS, Freedom Together and Crystal Palace Football Club)
Peer Support Group for Women and Single Parents *(The London Community Foundation Fund, Parchmore Community Centre)
Self Confidence and CV Workshops for Women and Young Mothers *(Awards 4 All, Winterbourne Children's Centre, The Crescent Primary School)
